Membership
Texas A&M Figure Skating is composed of two teams: our recreational team and our competitive team. Both teams partake in club events, practices, and meetings. However, only competitive team members may compete on behalf of Texas A&M University at U.S. Figure Skating Intercollegiate competitions. If you'd like to know more about each team, please read our constitution and the descriptions below.
Recreation Team
Our recreational team is open to skaters of all levels. Rec Team events include on-ice and off-ice practices, skill workshops, socials, and opportunities to participate in exhibitions and skating shows at Spirit Ice Arena.
Competition Team
Our competitive team is open to skaters eligible to compete at the Aspire 3 or higher USFS level. Texas A&M Figure Skating attends three U.S. Figure Skating Intercollegiate competitions per season within our Midwestern section. Skaters on our Comp Team compete in a variety of events, including Singles, Pattern Dance, Solo Free Dance, and Team Maneuvers.
